To a ball in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Birth of Miss Jane Austen

To be held at the Public Library on the evening of Wednesday, the Seventeenth of December, at Seven O'Clock.

An occasion most elegant shall be enjoyed, with punch, light refreshments, and dancing in the style of the Regency.

Attire of the Period is warmly encouraged, though not required. Good humour, grace, and a love of literature are the only requisites.
