Family Pajama Movie Night
Thursday, July 176:00—8:00 PMBonsignore HallMedford Public Library111 High Street, Medford, MA, 02155
Join us for a family movie night at the library! We'll be getting comfy, so bring your coziest, cushiest blankets and pillows and wear your PJs (but only if you want).
We will be watching The Wild Robot:
From DreamWorks Animation comes an adaptation of Peter Brown's award-winning, #1 New York Times bestseller, The Wild Robot. The epic adventure stars Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong'o (Us, the Black Panther franchise) as Roz, a robot that is shipwrecked on an uninhabited island and must adapt to the harsh surroundings. Gradually Roz starts building relationships with the animals on the island, including a clever fox voiced by Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us, The Mandalorian), and becomes the adoptive parent of an orphaned gosling named Brightbill. The Wild Robot is a powerful story about self-discovery, a thrilling examination of the bridge between technology and nature, and a moving exploration of what it means to be alive and connected to all living things.
The Wild Robot is rated PG for action/peril and thematic elements. You know your child best and are the best judge of what media is appropriate for them; please use your discretion when registering your family for Family Movie Night.
Light refreshments will be provided.
During Family Movie Night, kids and their grown-ups are expected to remain quiet and stay in their seats. Depending on the movie being shown, there may be loud noises, bright flashes, and scary moments.
Registration is required and will open on June 1.
